So, my dad's job keeps him traveling for a good chunk of the year. Because of that he had not met Lucy, that is until this weekend.......

Family Fun

Gotta love cousins! Eli's cousin Will has been in town since Friday and Eli is loving every minute of it. Then yesterday Will's mom, brother and sister joined us all the way from NWA. Seeing them all together makes me wish they lived closer. Eli is at such a fun age. He especially likes to play with kids that are older. He isn't sure how to handle kids younger and even some his age. He has had a hard time sharing toys with his younger cousin, Drew. Drew will just look at a toy and Eli will snatch it up with a worried look on his face. It is a little frustrating and quite humorous. Sydney, she is the oldest cousin, is loving some Lucy. She picks her up as soon as we walk in the door and tends to her like a little mother. So, needless to say, we have had a blast over the past few days. I'm hoping to get a picture of all 5 together in the morning, but we'll see how that goes :) That's it for now........

Last night we went to the Loibners house for dinner. It was long over due! After dinner Nathan noticed that we hadn't seen or heard from the boys in a bit. He decided to check in on them in the playroom and this is what he found....

So, I'm in the kitchen getting lunch together and Nathan tells me to go look in Eli's room. This is what I found. My precious little boy crawled into the chair and started reading a book. I love that he loves books!

Last Friday

Last Friday we had special visitors for lunch. Great Gran was in town for an appt and afterwards her and Aunt Jeanette the Great came over for lunch. We had a great visit. Eli took Gran from one room to another showing her his toys and books. He really enjoyed her attention. And then Lucy snuggled in with Jeanette and passed out. Thank you ladies for spending the afternoon with us!

Happy Birthday to Nana............

yesterday was my momma's 56th birthday!! To celebrate, my mom, aunt Pam, Mema and Carl came over to my house for dinner. Mema and Carl came over early and entertained my children while I cooked. Earlier in the day Eli and I decorated. He is so much fun! We (I) blew up balloons and then we made a sign as you can see above. Mom had a good time, so mission accomplished. And to top it off, Pam did all the dishes, including the ones that were in the sink from before the party :) What a treat for me. I am so grateful for all of my family. What a blessing to have Patti Abbott as a mother.
