"It raining. I get wet." Part II

This past Sunday, we came home and found a cool shirt in our kitchen. Eli's Granpa Jerry was inspired by the last post to create a shirt for Eli. He wore it to sleep on Sunday night and it seemed appropriate to go play outside in it on Monday morning, cause it was raining. The other fun part about this outing was that Eli brought me the shoes he wanted to wear. Actually I brought a pair in the room and after I got one on him he insisted that I put a different one on the other foot. Such a strong opinion already:) Thank you, Granpa, for the very cool shirt!

"It raining. I get wet."

Yesterday I was determined to get Lucy down for her morning nap and take Eli outside for a bit. Just as I was getting his shoes on him the rain started falling like crazy! We decided to go out and look at the rain and play on the patio anyway. We talked about the rain for a minute and then Eli threw a couple of his basketballs out in the rain and then he decided he couldn't just sit and watch any more and went to play dispite the rain. He kept telling me "I get wet, mommy." He had a good time. At one point he even went to the back of our yard to slide. (You can't really see the rain in the pictures, but trust me it was falling during all of these pictures.) It just confirmed that we don't get outside near as much as we would like to :)

Happy Belated Birthday Post

It has been a busy month already!!! A couple of weeks ago we went to Bentonville to celebrate cousin Syd's 10th birthday and baby cousin Drew's 1st birthday. It was quite a day, two parties in one afternoon, but so much fun. It started with lots of relay type games for Syd and ended with a delicious lasagna dinner for Drew's party. Here are a few snap shots I got from that afternoon.

shoes

Lucy has recieved many cute items in her short 3 months. Today I was looking at some fall/winter weather shoes and just had to share a picture of them with you.

Going to the chapel........

Congratulations to my dear friend Annie and her fiance Paul! They got in engaged a few weekends ago on a beach in Florida. So let the wedding planning begin!!!! When I went to see Annie's ring, Paul was still at work, so I only have pictures of her and Ryder. I'll work on finding a picture of both of them.

Christmas in October?

Many of you know my mom well enough to know she is a bargain hunter. So, this past weekend she and her super bargain shopper friend hit some garage sales and boy did they find some deals! Eli got a couple of cool items. Any time we visit mom at work, Eli runs straight to a kitchen set that they have there, so Nana has been wanting to get one for her house. Her patience really paid off. After months of looking she found the one she wanted in great shape for $10. It goes for $100 brand new. Crazy good deal! The other item she found was this Bounce'round. She wasn't out looking for one of these, but once she saw what a great deal she could get on this she was sold. Just a fraction of what these cost in stores. Eli loves it. Assuming we will have good weather to be outside, this will definitely be a part of his 2nd birthday party. And the other great deal is not in any of these pictures, but it's a tivo. Mom has been wanting one for some time and had been on a waiting list with Comcast for a dvr. Well, she found one brand new, still in the plastic in the box for $20!!!! At best buy these cost like $250. I'm amazed at what you can find and how cheap you can buy it if you are patient enough. Thanks Nana!
