What a sweet sweet boy!!

Okay, so in case you didn't know, we have some pretty special neighbors. Especially the neighbors on our left, Mr Robert and Mrs Net. Eli likes to walk over often and knock on their door. So that is what we did yesterday. When we get in he sees that Mr Robert has a drink in hand and one of Eli's new favorite things to do is drink from a big person's cup, soooo of course he walks over and begins to say "peeezze". Mr Robert shares his coke with Eli and Eli is eating it up! He gets a little overly excited and spills some down Mr Robert's leg. Mrs. Net got a napkin and Eli takes it from her and instead of wiping himself off he begins to wipe off Mr. Robert's leg where the coke had spilt!!!! It was so sweet. Where is the camera when you need it! So, that's it. I hope that you all can appreciate the sweetness of this story, but there is a chance that being his mom I have taken it up a notch or two in my mind. I just pray that those types of things continue to come naturally..........

wax on, wax off

It was sooooo pretty today so Eli and I decided it was a good time to wash the van. I had hoped that Eli would really get into scrubbing and cleaning the van, BUT surprise surprise, he was more into splashing and eating the bubbles!! It was fun watching him play in the water and suds. I tried to capture a few pictures before I was too wet. Enjoy!

Party Animals!!

Yesterday Eli went to his first non-family birthday party!! Or so I thought. We went to Campbell Loibner's 2nd birthday and I was thinking this was the first party he had attended, however my sweet husband reminded me that this was like his THIRD! To my defense the previous 2 happened before Eli could even crawl, so really this was the first official party that Eli was able to play with the kids and eat all the sugary treats! He had a great time, especially when he was eating Whitney's yummy animal sugar cookies. The party was themed with animals from the plates, to the cups, to the cake and even some animal shaped sandwhiches............okay, I've thought a little longer and remembered another party he went to in the fall, but he had just started walking and was still babyish, so it doesn't count either, right? Who am I kidding, I'm just wrong. I think that the past year has gone by way too fast!!!!! It is all a blur and this blog post is proof.

Honk Honk!

Today, while visiting Nana, Eli decided he wanted to drive her red beetle bug. He never left the garage of course, but he really enjoyed his time in the driver's seat. If only we were all so easily entertained............

Lucy's Bedding

With Eli, I had the hardest time finding a bedding I liked! I think really I just made it difficult by thinking about it way too much. I have trouble getting those visions that some are blessed with and therefore have trouble knowing what I'm looking for....Anyway, so I decided I was not going to let our girl bedding be so hard. I knew I wanted it to be girly and wanted a little more variety in color tone than just pastel (which can be hard to find with girl bedding) So, I found one that fit the order and got it! It feels so good to have it, it makes having a girl seem a little bit more real. Without further ado, here it is:

The first picture is of the quilt. The bumper pad and dust ruffle are similar. The second picture shows what the fitted sheet looks like. The green stripe is gingham (sp?) as well as the outer pink. I guess that's it, just wanted to share.

Nana Patti

Eli's Nana Patti came over today to see him. He had just come in from a long afternoon of playing hard so they watched some Seasame Street and read books. Thanks Nana for coming to visit today!

So Cool

Eli got his first pair of sunglasses last week. This is the only picture I have been able to get so far. When I have the camera handy he doesn't keep them on long enough, as you can see they are falling off of him in this pic. But, when there is no camera around he wears them for long periods of time. Go figure................... (the picture below is totally unrelated, but I didn't see the need to make a whole new post for it, so ENJOY)

"All Done"

So, I fixed Eli some ravioli for dinner tonight with green beans and toast. He decided pretty quickly that all he was interested in was the toast, SO he gathered the toast up in his fist and began to tell me "All Done" over and over. All done usually means "I am finished eating and don't want any more, please let me down to play" but apparently tonight it meant "This meal is no good to me tonight, please let me and my toast go play" I tried taking the toast and leaving it on the tray to show Eli we only eat in our chair at meal time, but it has been a long day and he looked so sweet and sad when I sat him down and he began saying "Bite" and reaching for the wad of toast (which is my way of saying I'm a sucker and gave him the toast) So, here is a picture to go with this story.

Gramma Gari

A week ago today Eli's Gramma Gari traveled all the way from Kansas City to come join us for our ultra sound. The weather was perfect for the park, sooooo that's what we did. Here are some fun pics from her visit.

Rubba dub dub, three boys in the tub!!

Tonight we went to the Loibner's house for dinner, bath and lots of fun. Wilson, almost 4, and Campbell, almost 2, are some of Eli's best buddies. You can only tell so much from the pictures, but they had BIG fun in the tub.

The bath time ended with Eli and Campbell
having a splashing contest.

Playdate with Mema and Carl

We had Mema and Carl over to play outside today. We played with Eli's basketballs and Carl treated us to milkshakes at the dairy bar formerly known as Andy's, now called Mojo's. It was quite a fun afternoon.

Wye Mountain

We made the trip to Wye Mountian this afternoon to see the pretty flowers. It was such a great day to go, the sun was out and it was hot. We went with Nana, Gammy Jo and Ryder.

The time has come.....

Well, the time has come. It just didn't make sense for me to be sending out weekly emails about Eli and our family when I could create a blog where you can check in on us at any time! I hope to keep you all up to date with pictures and such. I guess that is all I have to say for now. Not much of a first blog, but it will have to do.
